Optimizing SCD Diet

I will be the first to admit that the SCD diet can be a little difficult at first. Most people that try it will start rushing into all the foods without first testing them out to see if they can tolerate all the legal foods. The single most important thing to remember when starting SCD is Keep It Simple!!! this way it is so much easier to see which foods you can tolerate and which ones you can not. This will also enable you to create a safe diet which you can come back to if things get a little bumpy.

I have been on SCD diet almost 1 year and I screwed right up until 5-7 months after that point I was able to control the diet so that I was pretty much symptom free of crohn's disease if I kept my meals consisting of the same foods I was able to tolerate. Patience is such a virtue as it may take a few months before you are able to tolerate certain foods. I still eat the same thing every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner my concept is easy 1+1 always equals 2 if you keep the variables the same the equation will remain constant (meaning you should be able to maintain your health if you eat the same things

I think common mistakes for starting SCD DIET are as follows: Over induldging on foods, eating too much dairy products, eating too much fatty foods, eating peanut butter, and the most important one eating too much almond flour!!
